Turning on the product
1. Press and hold the power button (more than 1 second) to activate the product.
Note
If you do not press another button within a certain time after turning on the power by pressing the power button, the power will be automatically turned off for safety.
Choice of burner and output setting
1. Slide the output adjustment button to adjust the burner output.
Turning off the product
1. Press the power button of the induction that is in operation. You can easily turn off the burner that is in operation.
Note
ꞏ Even if you turn off the power of one or all burners, the screen will display 'Residual heat' if there is residual heat.
ꞏ After using the cookware, do not rely on the automatic fan detection function for the cooking area, but turn off the cooking area yourself.
Pause/Lock
You can use the Pause/Lock function to set the cooking area to the lowest power at the same time and then restore it to the original setting. This function can be used when you need to stop cooking for a while, such as when you receive a phone call during cooking. When using this function, all buttons except some buttons will be disabled. 1. Press the Pause/Lock button during cooking.
2. After the screen displays the pause status, set the cooking area to the lowest power.
3. Press the Pause/Lock button again to restore the original setting.반응형Lock function (child protection function)
You can prevent children or pets from accidentally turning on the burner and operating the heating surface by using the lock function. For example, you can lock the control panel except for the power button to prevent accidental changes to settings while wiping with a dishcloth.
Turning the lock function on/off
1. To set the lock function, press and hold the Pause/Lock button (3 seconds or more).
2. Press any button. The screen will display the lock status, indicating that the lock function is in operation.
3. To release the lock function, press and hold the Pause/Lock button again (3 seconds or more). A beep will sound when it is activated.
Timer function
Use as a safety shutoff timer
If you set a specific time for a burner, the burner will automatically turn off after the specified time has elapsed.
This is useful when using multiple burners at the same time.
Setting the safety shutoff timer
Turn on the burner to which you want to apply the safety shutoff timer.
1. Press the timer button of the burner that is in operation.
2. Press the timer button repeatedly to set the time. ꞏ You can set the time in 30-second increments from 30 seconds to 10 minutes, in 1-minute increments from 10 minutes to 60 minutes, and in 5-minute increments from 60 minutes to 120 minutes.
ꞏ You can quickly set the time by pressing and holding the timer button.
Note
ꞏ The timer can be set up to 2 hours.
ꞏ If you press and hold Max Boost (1 second), it will be set to the maximum time at once.
ꞏ You can fine-tune the timer using the output control (slide) button.Disable the safety shutoff timer
Select the burner for which you want to disable the safety shutoff timer.
1. Press and hold the timer button of the burner that is in operation. The timer will be disabled.
Turning the sound on/off
1. Press and hold the power button (1 second or more) to activate the product.
2. After activating the product, press and hold the right timer button for 2 seconds within 10 seconds.
Note
It will not be activated 10 seconds after turning on the power.
3. After displaying the setting status on the screen, the sound on/off status will be reflected.
Note
To change the sound on/off setting, repeat step 1.
Connecting the Easy Setup mobile app
Search for 'SmartThings' in the Google Play Store, Galaxy Store, or Apple App Store.
Download and install the SmartThings app provided by Samsung Electronics on your smart device.
A Samsung account is required to use the app.
1. Press and hold the power button (1 second or more) to turn on the product and prepare the mobile app (SmartThings). 2. Press and hold the Pause/Lock button for about 5 seconds. Then, prepare to connect to the mobile app. Follow the guide displayed on the mobile app to proceed with the connection.
Continue to press the Pause/Lock button even after the 'Lock Setting Screen' is displayed.
3. When the connection between the product and the mobile app begins, 'Connecting' will be displayed on the screen.
(It may take up to 5 minutes depending on the usage environment.)
4. When the connection is complete, 'Connection Success' will be displayed on the screen. Now, you can monitor the status of the product through the mobile app.
Setting Wi-Fi On/Off
1. Press and hold the power button (1 second or more) to turn on the product.
2. After turning on the power, press and hold the Pause/Lock button for 3 seconds within 10 seconds.
3. Press and hold the right Max Boost button for about 3 seconds. The product's Wi-Fi function will be activated.
4. You can set Wi-Fi On/Off with the OK button.Note
For safety reasons, Wi-Fi On/Off cannot be set while the 'residual heat' is displayed on the screen.
Residual heat display function
ꞏ When the power is turned off, the 'residual heat' display will be displayed on the screen if there is residual heat.
ꞏ You can save energy by heating food using the residual heat.
ꞏ When the ceramic glass surface cools, the 'residual heat' display will disappear on the screen.
Product noise
Common
ꞏ A clicking noise may occur from the internal electronic switch to adjust the heat power for each burner output level.
Induction burner and container noise
ꞏ When induction is in operation, the following operating noise may occur, but it is not a malfunction due to the noise caused by the induction burner operation and the container.
ꞏ Noise of knocking on the container "Tak", "Tick"
˗ This is the sound caused by the thermal expansion of the container. ꞏ Resonating noise of the container "Woong", "Jing", "Jji"
˗ Depending on the size and material of the container, the weaker the magnetism or the thinner the thickness, the more noise may be generated.
˗ Noise may also be generated if the bottom of the container is not flat.
ꞏ Repetitive interference noise "Jjik (high-frequency sound)"
˗ Interference noise that occurs when two or more induction burners operate simultaneously.
ꞏ Repetitive ringing noise "Wooong"
˗ Resonant noise that occurs when two or more induction burners operate simultaneously.
Fan motor operation noise
ꞏ Cooling fan operation wind sound "Booong~"
˗ The sound of the fan motor turning to cool the internal heat of the product.
Caution
ꞏ Do not leave the product while cooking. There is a risk of fire.
ꞏ Do not use oil that has been pre-heated with another cooking device (such as a gas stove).
